Time to catch up with some blogging. Sorry about the long period without anything new. It has been hectic around the Virtual Boatyard lately, to say the least. The big news is that I have finally got one of my boats in the water1 Ternabout is resting comfortably at slip A-45 at Bay Boat Works here on the Northeast River. The bad news is that the weather has been terible ever since she splashed.

Back at work at Nor'easter Magazine full time now. Handling the print edition, the web site and doing my weekly radio show, Radio Nor'eatser. You can read the digital edition of Nor'easter at www.noeastermagazine.com.
The radio show is an hour-long show abouit boating. I do some news for baoters, an upper Chesapeake Bay fuel survey, some boater tech stuff as well as an occasional guest or two. You can hear it live via the Internet at www.wctr.com. The show is on every Thursday morning, from 10 to 11 am. Tune in!
Doing some publicity work for my laterest book, MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE YOUR POWERBOAT, by McGraw-Hill. Yes, I know it's a powerboat book and I'm mainly a sailor, but the maintenance information and project apply to all boats, noit just powerboats. BTW, it's available on Amazon.com, hint, hint.
Also gearing up for the upcoming Seven Seas Cruising Associciation Gam at Camp Letts in Edgewater, Maryland. Camp Letts is a Boy Scout camp just south of Annapolis. You can take a look at the activities at www.ssca.org. I'll be there giving demos on "Keepin the Water Out!"BTW, Gam is a word, not an abreviation. It's an old sailing term for a meeting or get-together.
Also doing my usual columns for Small Craft Advisor, Long Island Boating World and www.MadMariner.com. There is also one of my articles in the latest SAIL magazine on an outboard shifter.
